About Us
The passion for flying was the reason for establishing FLUGWERFT HANGAR-1. It is what motivates us to do our best work on the airplanes every single day.
Fascinated by engineering and aviation, Adrian Schmer – after having finished his studies to become an engineer – had his first experience in the vintage aircraft construction in Augsburg (Germany). This was the basics and the begin for complex repairs on aircrafts up to 5.7 t. This led to Adrian trained to become an EASA Certifying Staff. After working as a B1.2 Certifying Staff in PART-145 maintenance operations, Adrian decided to open FLUGWERFT HANGAR-1 in Oldenburg at the beginning of 2016. Over the years the aircrafts in service and also the HANGAR-1 team was growing – so it was time to move in the new modern hangar at the airport Leer-Papenburg (EDWF) in 2020.
